Pantai Cenang
On Langkawi's western coast, Pantai Cenang is the most active
area of the island. The wide selection of hotels and resorts
not only provides something for everyone and every budget but
has also given rise to a nice selection of shops, restaurants
and night spots. As well, being a beach there are any number
of water sports activities on offer including swimming, jet
skiing, water skiing, wind surfing, sailing and parasailing.
Pantai Tengah
To the south of Pantai Cenang is Pantai Tengah. Being more upscale
than its neighbour to the north, everything in Pantai Tengah
is a bit more expensive and a bit less crowded and more relaxed
and quiet.
Pantai Kok
Pantai Kok is famous for being the backdrop in the movie "Anna
and the King". This beautiful, but remote, beach is situated
at the base of Gunung Matchincang (Mt. Matchincang). In spite
of being off the beaten track, Pantai Kok offers powdery white
sand and shady casuarinas trees that draws visitors from near
and far in search of the ideal beach.
FYI, in order to remain objective, hotels are listed in alphabetical
